That aspect in particular felt so contrived and implausible that I'm pretty sure the writers wrote themselves into a corner with chapter 3 and had to forcibly reel it all back in so it could tie chapter 1 with everything. What about chapters 2 and 3? Those were figments created by the main character's mind while he watched a horror show in the hospital he was situated in. Remember what I said about chapter 1 giving too much away in regards to the overarching story? Every basic answer I thought of to the questions I had for it were almost all proven correct by chapter 4. The big twist of it all was that every other chapter was taking place in the main character's head. However, it does end after a short while, which leads me to.Ĭhapter 4: I don't think I've felt so let down by a game's narrative conclusion before. During this portion your entire gameplay style changes into a 3D linear traversal game and it does not mesh well at all with the game's style. Unfortunately, the chapter doesn't end when it should have and goes on like 15-20 minutes longer than it should have. This chapter also seems to follow the events of the second in an interesting way, which got me very excited to see how the game was going to conclude itself. The voice acting is also at its best here, with the different radio towers serving as your only reprieve from the cold ambient silence. Aside from that, the way in which tension was built up the entire time up until the end was excellently done. Otherwise good luck being able to get any decoding done. It's definitely an issue with my computer, but the level of clarity you need to have to be able to read some of the documents here has to be borderline crystal-clear. The story here is far more interesting and there's even one of those 'oh shit' moments when you realize what actually just occurred. The interface is a lot more simpler this time around, as there can be no mistaking what the game's asking you to do as long as you pay attention and read.

You play that interactive fiction (wich is not hard at all) and you will soon realize that there is more than it seems.
